Happy Blogblast for Peace Day!
What, you may ask, does "Dona Nobis Pacem" mean?
According to the Blogblast For Peace site, it's Latin for "Grant Us Peace".
From some of my previous posts, you might know that I'm not a big fan of verbal pleas for peace that aren't backed by some sort of action. Countless peace marches, sleep-ins and candlelight vigils have done precious little to actually reduce the level of violence in our world.
Still, by participating in this global action, my hope is to raise awareness of legislative initiatives such as the Department of Peace and Youth PROMISE acts and, perhaps, enlist the skills and resources of some new activists who can help make a difference.

the world needs more people like you. i pray for the success of all your peaceful undertakings.
shalom!
Words matter. They start ripples. They lead to bloggers helping each other as they craft their globes. People are exposed to new ideas and peace progresses. Diversity and Unity. It's all good!

You are doing great work....keep shining! Raising awareness will eventually tip the balance over into demand for basic rights for everyone, which is the very foundation of peace in the world.
Found you from the Dona Nobis Pacem. I love your site. I’m going to poke around a little bit, but don’t worry I’ll put everything back where I found it!!
It starts with me. Peace.
And me!
Peace!
Everything starts off small. :)
Peace to you and yours.
Sometimes 'talk is cheap', but when the talk is by folks all over the world comitted to doing something, anything, no matter how small, for change, then it is worth it. A lot of the folks involved in this spend a lot of time thinking about what they will say, what they will put on their globe, what else they might like to share. Some go much further. I hope it will take us all a little further.
Peace to you and yours
btw...love your blogging name in the comments :-D
Good thoughts. We must declare our intent, then act on our intent.
Peace.
Your peace post is now linked in my blog: Peace Bloggers Unite
I agree. Action of the smallest kind is still action. The Department of Peace and the folks at DoPeace are crucial to the continued process of awareness - and indeed a consequence of forward thinking on the subject of peace that came before they were actualized.
Love your post and your globe!
You are #2002 in the Official Peace Globe Gallery at blogblastforpeace.com
